By plane
The nearest and best-connected international airports are Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS), at a 2-hour drive or train ride, and Düsseldorf International Airport (DUS) in Germany, at a driving distance of about 1 hour and 40 minutes.
By car
Please note that most navigation systems either do not recognize our address or guide you to an incorrect building.
To make sure that you end up on the right car park, we recommend that you set your navigation to U Parkhotel, De Veldmaat 8, 7522 NM Enschede. You can park there for free and charging points for electric vehicles are also available. When walking further along De Veldmaat past the hotel’s main entrance, you will reach a big square. Turn right and you will see the High Tech Factory in front of you.
If you are coming from the A35 motorway, make sure you take the exit “Universiteit”. Some older navigation systems may cause you to miss this exit.
By train
Take a train to Hengelo, Enschede, or the smaller station Enschede Kennispark located in between. After that, follow the bus instructions below. There is a direct intercity train from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) to Enschede Central Station, which takes about two hours. For planning your train journey please visit www.ns.nl.
By bus
From Enschede Central Station
- Line 1 towards the University will enter the campus. Leave the bus at stop “UT/De Zul”. The walking distance from this bus stop to the High Tech Factory is approximately 4 minutes (400 meters). Line 1 operates about 4 times per hour and the travel time is approximately 14 minutes.
- Line 9 to Hengelo doesn’t enter the campus, but stops at the main entrance of the university (Kennispark/UT). The walking distance from stop “Kennispark/UT” is approximately 10 minutes (850 meters).
From Enschede Kennispark station
- Line 1 in the direction of Universiteit will take you to bus stop “UT/De Zul”. From there you can walk to the High Tech Factory in about 4 minutes.
- Alternatively, you can walk directly from this train station to the High Tech Factory in about 20 minutes.
From Hengelo Central Station
- Line 9 to Enschede doesn’t enter the campus, but stops at the main entrance of the university (Kennispark/UT). The walking distance from bus stop “Kennispark/UT” is approximately 10 minutes (850 meters).
